ok i got 20 minutes of snow in Dallas, Texas

i went out and got in it, i like the snow
cause we rarely get some.........................

Burbank, Ca: Winter 1967 we saw a few snowflakes during outdoor gym class in Jr. High and the coaches kept us out in the cold in our shorts anyhow.

Man, I hated gym class but, being from Pa, I love the snow.

What we usually see these days is a sudden flash hail storm with enough to paint the landscape a slushy white with sometimes a couple of inches, in the place of snow.

Maybe that was the year I was there. I remember as a kid when I lived in Walnut Creek we got flurries, I remember hearing it was the first time in like 100 years?

Yeah Itchigo, it was 1967 and it was big news at the time.
Since then we've had flurries in the San Fernando Valley basin only a couple of times, and as I've said, it is more common to see hail at this low elevation.

Now there is a thriving recreational ski and snowboard slopes business in the mountains about 3,000 ft. or higher elevation from where we are, at Mt. High, etc., and it is often that we hear of snow along the I5 Golden State Freeway north of Saugus and Valencia, with black ice and many fender benders.
