This video shows how changing FP's settings from Trilinear Filtering to Bilinear Filtering can dramatically reduce the table load times (I show many examples before and after).
Only a small number of tables with many 1000's of textures take a long time to load normally. This is only used with tables that have integrated videos and animations added directly to the table, which don't play through an external app (like PUP, FlexDMD, etc).
VP tables normally don't integrate videos / animation directly to a table like this, so that is why you tend to see them load quicker.
