Owsley "The Bear" Stanley: Died in 2011

His elders were politicians. He proclaimed himself "The King of Acid". L.S.D. His years as an acid chemist extraordinaire were the source inspiration for the Steely Dan song, "Kid Charlemagne". And though I never used acid and never will, I took an interest in his webpage when he then turned to metal castings and likely cooking "Kitchen Clean" to get the metals that he used. He was also the engineer for The Grateful Dead.

I lost track of his page, but it doesn't matter as the page makes no reference to his death.
