Gottlieb Pop-A-Card (Gottlieb, 1971) very weak flipper

left flipper very weak on my Gottlieb Pop-A-Card. Already replaced coil but made no difference at all. will barely send ball to middle of playfield or worse. any help would be greatly appreciated.

looking thru other posts I found reference to pinwiki for lots of good info on em pin repair. just quickly browsing topics I found many things to check for weak flipper. al;so see a WHOLE lot of other very useful and detailed info on other repairs commonly needed. Thanks.

Other than file cleaning the flipper button switches and end of stroke switches, the fiber flipper link needs to be checked or changed. To check hold the flipper coil plunger with one hand and the flipper bat with the other hand, and wiggle the flipper bat. the more play there is the less strength the flipper will have. Punching out the roll pins will allow you to change the link. Pinball resource should still sell these.

The End, Of Stroke Woes...?

It is important for the End Of Stroke Switch not open to soon. Those contacts carry the bulk of the current flowing thru the main flipper coil. It they open too soon the coil will act real weak. After cleaning they should be adjusted to open only as far as necessary. As soon as they open the power must flow thru the holding coil winding too, as in>>>real weak flipper. Those contacts are supposed to self clean(sort of anyway) as they wipe past each other while operating. Like other pinball contacts they can benefit from being used. I have had flipper action improve during use shortly after cleaning those EOS contacts.
P.S. You can find troubles with EOS contacts by by-passing them with a clip lead. If your flipper acts right with the contacts shorted..."There's Your Problem Right There"

they are right rember eos switch opens so the hold winding is left if nc eos switch needs good pressure and need to be clean and should open at near end of stroke check wiring of flipper it may be wrong check backstop as well hope this helps

check eos if there not sure on b bunny weak flippers on ss pinballs can be a worn backstop check fuses for flippers cabinet switches but slowly stopped working i look at mechanical components bush backstop etc if you need order a flipper rebuild kit from one of the online vendors good luck

I see you mentioned other intermittent issues in chat.Try re-seating your connectors and socketed IC's
