Probably an ignorant DMD question

I am getting back into Future Pinball (thanks to Terry Red and Popote).

The one thing I have not figured out is how to manage Freezy External DMD on my cabinet with FP tables that have no DMD.

When I have a table without a DMD, I cannot get the blank DMD screen to disappear. I can resize it very small, but that does not seem to be the right way.

I am sure it is simple to fix, but I have been programmed to view the world through VPX and I have not found the magic paragraph in the Future Pinball tutorials. The DMD articles are a little light on Future Pinball also.

You need to setup your front-end to NOT run dmdext.exe for those specific tables only.

I set up popper over a year and half ago for FP and FX3 and memories are slipping from me. Everything was good while I was watching You Tube and looking at the guides non-stop back then. Now it is a little dusty.

I looked at the script for the Pinup Popper launch of external DMD. While I was trying to figure the "NOT" s, I found something curious.

I have a 1.5 version of Popote's "Big Indian". I am assuming that it was coded with the latest BAM at the time. It does not show an external DMD when launched from Pinup Popper.

The same table "Big Indian" by Popote with the newly added FizX coding does show an external DMD when launched from Pinup Popper. While this table is not PinEvent, it apparently starts up in Pinup Popper differently.

I started seeing the errant DMD box appearing as some of the vintage tables started using FizX or some new feature of BAM that does not seem to be picked up by the script in the Pinup Popper launcher.

Popotte has been using the AIO Example table to update his tables (for FizX, etc) which includes a DMD used for the FizX Tweaker Tool. This is NOT for scores / gameplay.

So simply put... if the table does not has a FP DMD for scores / gameplay... you don't want dmdext.exe run for that table.

(most EM's won't have a DMD for scores / gameplay unless someone decided to add it themselves)
