aw... i looked for it in the google play store, but no juice. i actually did own it for PC at one time. would be interesting to see how it plays on tablet.

btw here's one on android / ios i hadn't mentioned before... they did a very nice job on this despite this being their first pin AFAIK. it's called "revenge of the rob o bot" and is apparently a big fan favorite. pic:

even better news... (for some) it's being bundled in to something called the atomic pinball collection for ios and is evidently free to trial.

I don't know, nic... doesn't exactly "dazzle the eye". But that certainly doesn't mean that it can't play well. If Pinball Arcade has taught me anything, it's that "eye-dazzling" shouldn't be at the top of one's list. How would you rate the physics? I pretty much have to depend on you. Ever since we got Chromecast for Xmas, I'm only allowed visitation with the Ipad every other weekend. Which really sucks, what with that new Kingdom Rush game that's out!

you mean your ipad is tied up as a media broadcast center these days? (i just looked at the definition of chromecast, so there's my educated guess)

i agree the graphics are rather basic on the robo table, but i recall the physics being quite good. haven't played it for a couple years now, but i'll bust it out one of these days and give it a whirl.

Yeah, nice touch with the Revolver cover. What's possibly the band's greatest album being utilized in possibly the greatest ugliness perpetrated in its name. Alan Klein isn't dead. He just went off to Maurice Sendak's island to live with the other monsters. I read a Sam Cooke biography in which Klein comes off as... well, not a complete and utter villain, which is an unusual experience for me in the genre of rock biographies.
I would much rather have seen the trio you named, Arne!

LOL! Two songs? I think that's farther than I got! And you are wrong, Arne! I wish I had heard that version just as many times as I heard the original. I think it's the accent that makes it so... potent. No other accent could carry the song's beauty and solemnity. Well, maybe German.

While we're on the subject of... shall we say, "questionable" covers... it made we wonder if you gents had heard the Langley Schools Music Project. It was quite the thing among my pals when it was released in the late '90s. First, an apologia; let's remember that they're just a bunch of Canadian middle school kids in the '70s, just trying their hearts out. Hey, they could have been roaming around Saskatchewan, disemboweling whatever hapless traveler they came across like everyone else in Canada was doing at the time. But, no, they dedicated themselves to art. Now, let's all laugh our assess off as the cymbals crash on "rain" instead of "crash".

At the same time, I think we agree that Don Henley should never sing "Desperado" ever again. So who should replace him? My vote's for a Canadian baby who pronounces "able" as "ibble". But seriously, there should be a government mandate that insists that this version and only this version played on American radio.

I think I went and assumed that you called the video "The Worst Cover of a Beatles Song"... but, of course, that was titled by some apparently lucky soul who never saw how Cher and company opened either seal number two or three as described in the book of Revelations and laying the first brick for the road that the Four Horsemen will ride in on. No! Fuck! They are the Four Horsemen, exactly how they're described in the Bible! War, Famine, Death and Tim Conway. That's, of course, the King James version. So I posted the YouTube Mary Tyler Moore "With a Little Luck" video link. And then I searched for alleged "worst Beatles Covers" and I found him.

I can only assume that Capitol's A&R department had a hell of a "Brazilian Marching Powder" budget because the reigning late '70s Wichita pop station played "With a Little Luck" and "Coming Up" like... well, like they were addicted to cocaine. At least that's what WKRP taught me.
