I'll see if I can figure out what's going on. Maybe a particular image file is gobbling memory or something. Thanks for the heads-up.

Finally got to watch your video. I'm glad you shared it, I think I've seen that years ago on a table. If I'm remembering correctly a corrupt sound file can cause this behaviour in FP. The corrupted file does something wacky to the sound aspect of FP and it hogs resources, hurting performance along with the sound issues. It will be a few days before I can really look at it, but I'll do an update if I can sort it. I'll push the settings to max on my rig and compare performance before and after any changes, if it improves then hopefully that's the fix for your issues, but I'll run the game a while to be sure I'm not getting weitdness. It's unfortunate PC's act differently to each other! Deleting the guilty sound file would fix the table if that's the issue, so if it is, simply deleting them all would make the table run properly, but silent of course.

I am having the same problem. I think the fix is actually fairly simple. I found several sounds that had been entered twice into the sound manager. I deleted the extra sound files and it plays better. Evidently, the 2 sound files don't play at exactly the same time so it produces the weird sound effects.

Thank you George, I wonder how I managed to do that! Please let me know if that works for you, Ian, and if so I will do it and reupload. That sounds a lot simpler than my plan of removing each sound one at a time to isolate the issue!

I was able to duplicate all reported issues. I was also able thankfully to resolve them! As per Georges suggestion, removing the duplicate sound files rendered some improvement, however not a compolete fix. I then found on further investigate four files were actually corrupted (two of them looped continuously are verry low volume, and at least one would sometimes reopen growing copies of itself! (never seen that before!) this meant that they hogged FP resources until it freaked out. I have deleted those sounds and a couple of others and replaced them with new ones. Playtesting here showed issues now resolved. I hope that is the case for everybody. Please advise if it isnt.

All good now my friend thank you :)
