Gottlieb EM Snow Derby (Gottlieb, 1970) Stuck on ball 1

Working on a Gottlieb Snow Derby.

At start up, the player unit resets fine. After ball 1 ends it does not advance to ball 2

Also, if I set it up for 2 player game, same results
Just remains at ball 1 , player 1 and not advancing to player 2

The player unit does not advance

Any help would be appreciated

After looking into it further , this is what I found. According to manual , the through switch activates the P relay, which turns on the score motor and then goes through switch 1 A to activate the player unit. That all seems to be happening , but the player unit will not advance.
If I advance the player unit one step manually , then it starts to move on its own to ball 2
Just not getting the initial first pulse

Also, the first ball relay does activate when points are scored

The score motor switch 1A is a 5 pulse switch along with other 5 pulse switches seem to get pitted and carboned up more than other switches. I use a ignition points file to remove the pitting and a blade adjustment tool to regap the switch.
Even though the 1st ball relay is pulled in, it’s switches need to be checked for positive clean connections.
Player unit advance coil circuit path may contain many other switches that need to be checked out also. If you can post a snippet of the schematic that involves this coil if the problem isn’t found.
