Williams Space Mission (Williams, 1976) - no outholes working

Hello everyone, bought my first pinball machine this week, a Williams Space Mission from 1976. A friend of mine helped me get everything working last night with the exception of the outholes. If I manually put the ball in play, we can play the machine and everything works except the outholes - none of which work. Has anyone experienced this and if so did you figure out a solution? Thanks! This is a Christmas gift for my wife so I'm hoping to get it fixed by then!

Check the switch in the outhole it might need adjusting or replacing.

do they work at all when you do the solenoid test in bookkeeping?
If so then they are not the problem.
Just saying to make sure they are really non-functional
before you spring for new ones.
but after checking the actual switch, look for a busted wire
between the two under the play field.
Since they work in tandem, that may be all it is (hopefully anyways!)
