Williams The Machine: Bride of Pin·bot (Williams, 1991) Problem

When I start the game, it says that it does not recognize that there are in balls present. What could be the problem?

with the apron removed have you checked the trough switches in switch test?

I have tried switch edges, switch levels and single switch tests. I have no idea what I am looking at. Which test should I be using? How do I tell if the switch is bad or good? The manual is of no help other than telling me what wire colors go to the switches.

switch edges test. a closed switch will show on the displays. check all trough switches with this test.

I tried the switch edge test. The trough and out switches seem to be working. Now when I try to play the game, the first ball pops up and I can play. But after the first ball goes out, the trough knocker does not kick the next ball up to the striker. I hear the machine cycle through the different knockers, but nothing happens with the trough knocker. At least now it recognizes that the balls are present.

i could not find in the manual how many balls should be loaded in the machine. since there are 3 trough switches , i guess is that 3 balls should be in the machine
