Ok, this one is new to me, hopefully someone can help out.

The trapdoor on my ToM lives its own life, so to speak. When you power on the machine, it randomly (and I mean randomly) hops and pops up and down until the 3A fuse in the back cabinet blows. This takes about 5 to 10 seconds.

Anyone have any idea what can be wrong? This just started happen out of the blue. I cannot relate to anything I have done to the machine other than playing on it.

is there a micro or opto switch that tells the boards what position the trapdoor is in ? can you post some pics of the trapdoor mech to figure its operation?
