I have downloaded "truck stop" and it refuse to start the game. Why?

It doesn't give me a message. It just blacks out and back to my files screen.

Move them into your roms folder and see if this helps.

You need to go inside your Visual Pinball folder to find it.
Wherever you installed Visual Pinball is where it will be.
Usually it is installed to C:\Visual Pinball
So go into your C: drive and you will see a folder named Visual Pinball.
Inside of that Visual Pinball folder you will find a VPinMAME folder.
Inside of the VPinMAME folder you will find a roms folder.
This is where you need to move the zipped roms. Move them to roms folder.
Perhaps it would be best for you to ask for help on the site you downloaded the table from?
Until you figure out how to move roms to your roms folder, these Solid State tables will not work for you, as they will all need a rom to run correctly.
