USB dot matrix display driver

would any one be interested in a dmd usb hardware driver. basically a device you connect to your computer using usb and then plug a real pinball dot matrix into.

you can either send your own frames to it. or hook it upto the pinball emulators and view the dmd output on a real dot matrix display.


would any one be interested in this?

I would think any of the dedicated cab builders may want to grab that toy!

ya' can maybe trade something or sell it, your call there,
but good luck any way you decide to go
it sounds like a neat thing once ya' get it synced up and all
can you post a pic, too? that would help so people can see what it looks like
(size, color, neat gee whiz buttons and lights on it, etc.)

the board is still in prototyping stageat the moment, although it does work!!

im currently using it on a personal project driving a 192x64 dmd for a slot machine but the fpga code can be easily reconfigured to support a 128x32 pinball dmd.

its not currently interfaced to pinmame, i would need to ask them how to do this. but i cant see any reason why it couldn't be connected to it!!


Im just seeing if there is any interest in such a device, if so ill design a proper smd pcb for it and make a few :), (and talk to the pinmame guys)
