(1) Do you have two downloaded files for the table?
VPinMame tables use two files, a .vpt table file that you need to UNZIP to the Visual Pinball\Tables folder and the ROM.zip file that goes in the C:\Pinball(or vpinmame)\Roms folder. Keep the ROM.zip file ZIPPED.
Note that there are also Visual Pinball-Only tables that do not use a ROM, so they only need one file to run in the Visual Pinball.exe: the .vpt table file. You will know if you have a VPinMame table because when you start a VPinMame table you will see the VPinMame pop-up splash screen and (the first time you run a new downloaded VPinMame table) the prompt screen that asks you if you own this game.
With Visual Pinball-Only tables, check the .zip file for any Windows\Font files, mp3 files, etc. and unzip those files to the appropriate folders. Font files go to C:\Windows\Fonts.
Mp3 files go to the \Visual Pinball\Music folder, etc.
(2) Find the VPinMame Setup.exe and Double-Click on it/Run it. A menu appears. On the menu click the Install button.
When the Setup paths screen appears, check the path for the location of the VPinMame Roms folder. It needs to be the same as the location of the pinball(or vpinmame)\Roms folder on your hard drive for the program to find the Roms and work.
If you have already installed the VPinMame setup, start it again and click the Setup paths button to check the (address) path
for the Roms folder and change it to the correct address (path) on your hard drive.
(3) Right-Click on the Visual Pinball.exe or the Shortcut to Visual Pinball.exe and choose "Run as Administrator.
(4)Right-Click on the .exe or Shortcut > choose "Properties" Compatibility and put a check in the Enable Compatibility box then try running as Windows XP (on Vista or Windows 7 systems) or Win 98 (on XP 64-bit systems and other Windows 64-bit systems).
