VPX upgrade

Just upgraded to VPX 10.8.0 and now my tables do not work - back glasses and table load, but table is black.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Did you run setup?
And you'll probably need to run b2s setup as well if you use more than one monitor.

When you upgraded to VPX 10.8.0, did you also copy the scripts over to your scripts folder and overwrite when asked?
Also keep in mind, that VPX 10.8.0 is in beta stage, and is not for use by the general public, unless you are helping to test it.
When it comes out of beta phase and is released to general public, it will be made available here on this site.

Xenonph: I grabbed all the files and overwrote them into the 7.3.1 directory. I didn't check to see if the script files were copied. but I will.
I didn't realize that I just became a tester which I don't mind helping out. If I was going to up grade which iteration should I use. I know i'm
not the sharpest knife in the drawer just trying to follow some instructions from Git hub.which to grab VP7.2.3. apply it then 7.31 apply it and then finally the latest beta. Obviously had 2 many beers by this time. How about I start over, save my Tables, Roms, etc. and install ? Difficult to get clear upgrade instructions for my level of intelligence or try to to find a VPX AIO like the AIO for FP . I definitely need help. Thanks.

VP8 - VP9 - VPX - Support File - VPX All-In-One Installer

All-in-one (almost) installer (VPX10.7.2, VP9.9.5b, VP9.9PM5(updated Plunger/Accel/Surround MOD)b, VP9.2.1, VP8, VPM3.4, DMDext, FlexDMD, X/UltraDMD, B2S, Core.vbs scripts). Open the zip, run the .exe, enjoy. For detailed credits, changelogs...

I would steer clear of the beta versions, but if you are going to use them,
Simply copy the contents of the latest beta version into your Visual Pinball folder, and overwrite existing files when asked. (No need to install each version, the latest one will be fine.)
You can save your tables, roms and such to a different folder to be safe, but I believe there is no need as the Installer just installs over existing install.

Anon: I ran both set ups I just overwrote with the new files. I did register b2s . Ready to save my tables and Roms and totally start over. Thanks

I'm on Windows 10 which I beleave is a 64 bit system but also ean the 32 bit system didn't seem to make a diff, one gives ne a runtime error, the other does the running table backglass and dmd Vertical Black table. ?

Yes been playing VPX and FP for about 10 years now, 1050 GPU 16gb ram I5 3.4 gig . has been great

Sorry, It's been a while since I did a new install.
I just remember the 1st one should be that vpx all-in-one. After that I just download over the newer versions (in this case 10.8.x)
No point in having 32bit anymore so just download the 64bit .exe
And newer tables seem to require newer versions of b2s and flexdmd (which have to be the 64bit versions too).

Anon: Thank-you so very much for your help. I love my pinball cabinet and all the pieces I've assembled and enjoyed. We have a great community here and It would not be possible without people like you and Xenonph, Terry Red and all the contributters. I'm sure to-day I'll be able to get my baby back up and running.
OBTW my favouite table is JP's IT Madness. Give it a try it's like actually playing against the Clown and it's amazing in 3D. with the Red/Cyan glasses.
