Hello everyone, I would like to know your opinion. Here, I am in hardware mode for the creation of a vpinball table. I recovered speakers from a logitech x350 system that works in 5.1 But I do not want to use its amplification system too bulky.

My computer already has a 7.1 card of which I should amplify the sound on each channel separately. For the moment I had thought of putting Mini Amplifier Board Module with the adequate watt on each channel and powering everything in 12v with the right amperage. But then I said to myself that maybe one of you would have a better idea to propose before buying 8 boards at $10.

well, nobody replied.
just curious.
would it be be easier to find a 5.1 or 7.1 receiver instead of spending alot of time on mini amps on all channels.
i saw some 7.1 cards online with a USB.
maybe you could use the USB or another output on the back of the PC 7.1 card to connect to a 5.1 or 7.1 amp/receiver.....

just curious to what you are doing.
i still don't understand why you want so much power for PB or you have another use for the system.
using mini-amps on all channels will be time consuming and expensive.
i use 2ch PC speakers out the 3.5mm audio output on the back of my PC for my sound.
that's all i need for PB.
i'm thinkin' you have another use for all that power.
that's a lot of power even for a home audio system.
if you do use the mini-amp make sure you read the manual and use the correct ohm speakers on the
speaker outputs terminal.
if you use something not recommended you could overload a speaker output then it will "POP" a circuit
on the board.
for $62 it won't be worth fixing.
i have seen it many times where someone used 4ohm car speakers or something not recommended and
popped the output circuit.
why do you need 100wts p/channel x4 or more?

in fact the satellites are only 15 watts and the sub 25watt for a total of 70w rms. so you are right, too powerful. But I would like to have 7.1 to use ssf sound for my virtual arcade.

Terry had made a video about it

I recently did some hardware tests, for those who want to know if amplifying the sound coming from a 7.1 sound card on a computer can do the trick. Technically, yes. But you won't find perfection there. Here are some tips for bass after experimentation.

s-l1600.jpg

1- double the power of the speakers compared to the power of the amp. avoid breaking everything.

2- power the amp with a source other than the computer's power supply. avoid parasitic sounds, passive power supply.

3- Using the Center/sub output may require more attention. the Center/left and subwoofer/right outputs cannot be powered in the same way. The sub requires a crossover to cut certain frequencies. If the sub does not work in stereo 2.0, you must configure software if available or use a bass surround sound.

been following your thread.
sounds like you are really good at this and have some training.
SSF is not possible with a 5.1 or 7.1 amp?

possible with both 5.1 and 7.1 solutions. It will depend on the hardware we want to use. For my part, I'm just starting to understand how to do it. It works well for my future pinball tables in cabinet version. I'll eventually post images of the basic assembly I did on my vpin cab.

In the end, it was enough to use only 3 channels of the sound output and 3 amplifiers, therefore an amp with a sub output for the front.
