Payout machines were VERY popular in the 30's and this one is no exception. To get a ball into a hole made payout machines quite tough but the allure to win double, triple or bigger the amount of winnings at the end of a single ball was what brought numerous folks to play these. The SKILL involved was very high to play these since nudging was a huge factor on winning.
This one is quite rare and very little is known about it. I did my best to preserve the original image as well as the artwork with a ton of redrawing. I once again have added a working tilt mechanism that does the job. The play field looks dirty and keeps the age of the machine looking just about right. All pins were placed in the proper places from the images I received.
This machine was a FULL SIZE cabinet machine, NOT a tabletop machine.
I have NO IDEA why one 6 is blue and the other two are red. I just left well enough alone.
Numbers on the play field represent the amount of nickels you would win if a ball dropped into a hole. Considering a game was 5 cents, to win MORE than what you inserted into the machine is what drew people to play these.
The game saves your games played as well as your winnings as long as tilt is ACTIVATED or on. Each time you load the game these are loaded automatically.
ALL HOLES are quite accessible. They are NOT easy to hit but can be had with the right nudging skills.
Quite a fun table especially if you wish to brush up on your nudging skills.
INCLUDED IN THE ZIP FILE: Rules and the VPX 6 file.
Have fun and enjoy.
