EPILEPSY WARNING. FLASHING LIGHTS. <------------

I made this table for desktop players so I have NO IDEA how this will come out on a cab. I've been making tables for desktop players for over 20+ years but have no desire to go into the cab area of Visual Pinball. So if you play on a desktop / computer screen you should have no issues graphically.

Over the years desktop players have been pushed to the side of visual pinball unfortunately. I hate to say it but it's VERY TRUE. This is one reason I still try to make tables for PC desktop players and always will.

This table has been asked for for years. It has taken quite a bit of time and a ton of graphical work had to be done to make sure it looked just about right. The scripting was no picnic either. I left as much of the original shadows and just about as much else as I possibly could. A LOT of ramps had to be used to get the proper effects of the ball movement and they worked just great. Once that ball gets a good spin and hits a ramp, you'll truly understand just how tough this machine can be.

GAME PLAY: 12 balls as long as you have no balls in either of the two side 500 point traps. 11 balls if you have one ball in one or the other 500 point side trap. 10 balls if you have both balls in the 500 point traps. There is a reason for this.

The balls in one or both of the 500 point side traps DO NOT DRAIN but are kept on the play field for the next game. Only when a ball goes over the top center rollover will the ball or balls be kicked across the play field to the 2000 center hole. Tilting the table turns this rollover off so be careful.

Within the top center of the 2000 point hole is a light and yes, it flashes quite bright too.

Drop a ball into either fire hole at the top at each side and the ball shoots under the play field, back up one of the ramps at each side, rolls across the habitrail wires and loops back around to the play field. During this process the two under play field holes flash red lights from underneath.

There are NO OUT HOLES in Spitfire. Instead a slapper is at the bottom center and will slap the ball to each side or straight up the play field. Depending on where the ball comes down and the speed it has, the slapper can send that ball straight up to the very top of the play field.

The tilt mechanism MUST BE ON for the game to save your score. If you tilt your score is NOT saved. Yes, the tilt cup actually works.

Any balls that are moving MUST be accounted for by the game. If you have one ball or more moving on the play field you'll have to wait until ALL balls are done. Spitfire does an amazing job at taking care of this and makes the game worth playing. Once a ball lands in a scoring area, a new ball can be lifted to the plunger.

Did I mention THE SOUNDS FROM THE ACTUAL MACHINE have been implemented into the game? They have. Hear the balls drop onto the metal drop doors, balls dropping into the machine, the slapper making a vibrating noise and the balls jiggling and vibrating as they roll up the ramps to the habitrails. Even the original ball lift sounds and plunger sound has been implemented.

This one really tested my limitations on my scripting as well as my drawing capabilities. I believe it really came out near perfect and hope you'll enjoy it just as much as I have. I must admit that Spitfire is truly an addictive machine.

Thank you Druadic, not only for this table but for all those old historic tables you did until now !

That's so rare to find them for VPX, and also gives an important glimpse into the past and history of pinball.

Also thanks to think about desktop players as myself ; can't get a cabinet and not interested in it to experience pinball.

Really appreciate the efforts you're providing, some tables are great fun despite their age and pretty challenging.

This one is truly a masterpiece, and I cannot even imagine how much work and / or how difficult it was to bring this amazing game to life.
