The object of the game is to complete a jigsaw puzzle depicting the site of the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago, Illinos, USA. Each game consists of ten balls, and the player attempts to shoot those balls into holes representing a piece of the puzzle. Each piece is worth a set number of points; however, getting a ball in the topmost hole in the machine will double the value of all puzzle pieces.

Scoring a puzzle piece also scores all of the puzzle pieces below it. Thus, the
puzzle can be completed in as few as five blls, and the maximum score in six. The challenge, then, was not only to complete the puzzle, but to do it with the fewest
number of balls. A player who competed the puzzle was expected to summon an operator,
who would award points or tickets (presumably for redemption for prizes) based on
the number of balls it took, as follows:

With the Double Score hole:
Puzzle complete in 6 balls: 30 points
Puzzle complete in 7 balls: 25 points
Puzzle complete in 8 balls: 20 points
Puzzle complete in 9 balls: 10 points
Puzzle complete in 10 balls: 5 points

Without the Double Score hole:
Puzzle complete in 5 balls: 25 points
Puzzle complete in 6 balls: 20 points
Puzzle complete in 7 balls: 15 points
Puzzle complete in 8 balls: 10 points
Puzzle complete in 9 balls: 5 points
Puzzle complete in 10 balls: 5 points

TO PLAY:

Press 1 to start a game.
Press A or the left flipper to feed a ball to the plunger.
Shoot the ball with the plunger. Use the nudge jkeys to guide the ball to:

- The Double Score hole
This is the topmost hole. The ball will be held here until the game is reset. A
ball in this hole doubles the total score.

- The Luck or Chance holes
These are the two holes just below and to the left and right of the Double Score
hole. A ball falling through one of these holes will randomly score one column
of puzzle pieces.

- The Building holes
These are the five holes abve the puzzle holes. Each is marked with an image of one of the buildings from the World's Fair. These holes will score the entire column of
puzzle pieces beneath them. From left to right, the buildings and their column
scores are:

- Federal Building: 1000 points
- Administration Building: 1500 points
- Electrical Building: 2000 points
- Hall of Science: 1500 points
- Travel and Transport: 1000 Points

(A better image of this part of the playfield can be seen at
http://www.halor.com/pinball/jigsaw/jigsaw4b.jpg).

- The puzzle holes
Each of these holes will score the corresponding puzzle piece and all pieces beneath it.

- The Free Play trough and hole
Any bals ending up in the Free Play trough below the puzzle holes, or the Free Play
hole at the bottom of the playfield, will be returned. Press A to send the ball
back to the shooter.

Good luck!
