Gottlieb Solved 4 Square (Gottlieb, 1971) Part

Hi everyone, I'm aquiring my 1st pinball machine, a Gottlieb 4 Square, this Sat. I haven't seen it yet physically, just the pics. It's been shopped and is fully functional. If there's any problem it looks like the 'ball in play' cover is missing. Is there anyway to find one?

Ebay is your best bet for sure and cheap. :) Also, try typing that in Google and see if someone is selling them :)

I looked and didn't see anything. Is there an outfit out there that sells replica parts? I'm getting cold feet about this deal. I'd be paying
$600.00+gas money to my buddy-a 600 mi round trip to help me get it. Is it worth the trouble? Is it worthless without that piece? I just have the feeling I won't be able to find this piece without buying a scrap 4 square machine, which is even more money out of my pocket.

I just did a search for Used Pinball Parts, and came up with this used pinball parts - Google Search


I doubt that a missing 'ball in play' cover would make the game inoperable. If nothing else you could probably have a machine shop fabricate one for you for a small fee.

Another thing that would benefit you money wise is to find an image of what you need online. Then make an image via printer. Take it to a fabricator as tiltjlp described above. It can't be that expensive really, but what do I know with some machines.

There was a place in California that did stuff like this, but it was for mostly metal and cast iron parts for very old machines; like marquees and the like.
