A great multi-language dictionary

Since Patrick and I sometimes have trouble undersatnding each other, I did a search for a desktop dictionary, and I think I found a good one folks. Pardon is Free, and comes with an Enlish interface. You can also download other dictionaries, such as French and German. while I haven't used it much, it does seem to be useful in helping figure out the meanings of foreign words. Since it's a fairly large files, and since it get updated regularly, I'll post a link rather than add it to our download section.

I could use that, but it's not free. It's shareware. And I can't believe it translates (american) english slang well.

I will have a look for a really free one.

Actually it is free, since you can try it out as long as you wish to. Says so right on the web site. As for how well a job it does, I have no idea. I figure it's got to be better than nothing.

Sorry, but on the web site (directly from your link) I read:

"Pardon is shareware

If you decide to continue using Pardon after a short period of testing, you are required to purchase one or more licenses."

Maybe it works longer than the known 30 days from other software without doing anything, but it's not free. If possible I prefer freeware and I think there is any.
