I did not put you anywhere. That's where you put yourself. You have your nose farther up Paul's ass than anyone. There is a name on the list that is a joke, but it is not you.

Anything does not go in either bbb. That is just a label. The password is more honestly descriptive. I got banned from it and I did not do 'anything'.

Smoking pot on web cam is not very smart, but is the only consistency I have encountered, and fitting, but does fall into 'anything' I guess.

You butted in a lot when Paul and I was talking, but only parroting, with nothing to contribute. I would rather be banned than act like I did not have a mind of my own. I don't like you anymore than you do me, but I would never suggest you be banned. Grace. Grace and honor.

The fact is that it it would take an moron to believe the things that were posted in that thread, and there are some at VPF that act as they do believe it. But not Paul. in his mind it is indefensible so does not exist.

He fucking outright lied to a member when he said there was nothing that could be done about balls through the flipper in VP8. He fucking lied when he said opinions are Ok, because they are not. Not if he does not like them.

Yet I am the bad guy for taking offense at what was offensive. I am the bad guy for giving my opinion even though it was not done until I was told that offensive comments towards me was OK. What is so offensive about the nudging does not work for keyboards? Who is that offensive towards? Or Bugs certain bugs should be fixed? Bugs one would not even be aware of if they are using the replacement code to drive hardware devices.

Yes I got defensive, and people took that as offensive, but that does not make it so.

They want it both ways. They want people to think they are smart, and honest. That's just not the case. They are either stupid to an extreme, or liars. Paul I think is both, but some of them I know to not be stupid, so they just have to be liars. If I had said gravity is the cause for a real flipper returning, .135 is not motion, but an instant down, or a flipper moving down faster than the ball is moving down would still result in the ball still going through the flipper, I would not be called a liar. People would tend to think I believed that and I would be labeled as an idiot, and rightly so. This is just some of the non personal stuff to. The last thing it would be considered is an opinion. Facts are unrelated to opinion. Lies are unrelated to opinion.

VPF.org is nothing not what Paul said it would be in his statement here. Paul bans people for getting upset about lies and stupid actions on his part. What could possibly be worse as an administrator?

I did not go on a campaign, or I would not have held my opinion to myself in an effort to have the benefits of a community I am a part of. I would have started something myself. I should not have trusted Paul, when he said that those things were Ok even if offensive, because they were also opinion, because I should have known he was not talking generally, but specifically.

I can blame myself for having a life ban, because I can blame myself for trusting Paul. I should have known the second he posted that these were only opinions that there was a campaign underway. The last things lies are are opinions. The first and last thing lies are are lies. And the last thing that men that tell them are, is men.

I like VPF.org too. But the last thing it does or intended to do is pay homage to vpf.com. For that to be even considered, it would have had to come after VPF.com went down. The name and the site (.org) preceded that by a week.
Someone might have complained about any name, that's true, but they would not have had a point.

This way, people who are still looking for AJ's site will instead get into vpf.org

I think that was the point, with vpforums.com up or not. Can you imagine the fuss if VPF.com did not go down? Or came back up? I can't however imagine a reason why it would then be OK because .com did go down. Being that it preceded that, it seems that .org was gearing up for a battle, or had an insider and knew .com was going down. But then why not VPforums.com to replace vpforums.com?

I don't think anyone feels hurt that the name was used. It just came off as a hijacking, with not only the name, but the database as well.

With .com down though, we need .org. Well the welcome members need it. .org could have made it on their own though, with a new name, and a fresh database, they just did not know that, it seems.

I wish to retract and appologise for venting in this forum against NoahFentz. While I was frustrated at the time, it does not excuse me from personal attacks or deminishing another persons contributions. For this I am truly sorry and embarressed.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say thanks to all those many people who have made many and varied contributions along the way. Your submissions are greatly appreciated, and not taken for granted.

I'm not one to retract, and rarely apologetic. However, I understand the frustration aspect.

It in truth means nothing to me what a site is called, which means I should have had nothing to say in that regard.

VP, for all it's late gains, has lost some key elements of what it was, and I have pointed them out in some detail. It was the reception of those observations that I can not understand. Nor can I understand the impact of those observations. It certainly was not to get in bad with anyone, let alone to get banned, but that is where I am.

I scoff at the notion that you can possibly find any criteria on which to compare the two sites. It's PAINFULLY obvious that we actually care about ALL of our members, whether they be new to the scene or long time veterans, and the entire Virtual Pinball community. We encourage activity and support requests. We don't allow our members to crap on the new ones and laugh about it.

It is the comments like these that do harm to the community.

I can tell you I've gone to great lengths to make it a great place to discuss pinball and not politics or religion, and we certainly wouldn't allow the flaming and total disrespect shown here at VPForums.org!

Even after all the unmoderated insults I endured in the beginning of all this, I voluntarily linked your site in our Recommended Sites section, without asking for anything from you. I really was hoping for your support more than anyone's, Jon.

So, I would like to resolve this, but I am beginning to believe it is simply futile. You insist on defending a site that was useless to the entire community in its most recent state, and now, is totally non-existent as a result of neglect and no concern for its members' interests?!!

Why?!! How can you disrespect all of my effort and defend a host that abandoned the community, without even a word to anyone...ANYONE?!

I am truly appalled by your response, and do not feel welcome here anymore. At least I log off from here knowing full well that what I did, I did for the community, not for the absolutely outlandish reasons some of your members have accused me of.

You really believe that it's all about me and my site?!? Maybe you should take a little time to consider the amount of effort we put into it?

And what do I really have to gain?!

I can tell you what I have gained from it...

Simply put, I've gained the satisfaction of helping to preserve pinball and the Virtual Pinball scene, and the much appreciated, positive feedback I receive from my members on a daily basis.

THAT'S what I have to gain...nothing more, nothing less, and I look forward to it every day.

The community, (what I call the community, obviously we can now fully appreciate that 'the community' to Paul means his site staff and members), continues to become more divided, but it seems more like a genocide to me than a division. A genocide of the people that are not willing or able to buy his hardware, which is required to not only have such an obscure concept as proper nudging effort, but just about every other improvement made to the program.

Nothing to gain? I did not believe it then. Who believes it now?

If there is any interest at all in the community as the whole, the new core.vbs file that supports another file to fix up the digital nudging to a large degree will be posted elsewhere. Here would be a good place. Otherwise expect to see it remain exclusive to VPF.

In the first week of developing the site, the unthinkable happened. AJ's went down, and after time, seemingly for good...

So far it IS for good.

This means the VPF.com database was already grabbed, before they had any idea, they would have you think, that it was going to. I don't know how you feel about that now, in hindsight it has it's good side, but I know how you felt about this then, with other sites that did the same, torrents, and e-bay for example.

Sorry, in 31 years I can count on one hand how many people who have ridden my bike. 2 had a big chest (before I was married), the others were mechanics. Now, since I do all my own work on my cars and bike, that isn't even the case anymore. It's true, I do oil, brakes, exhaust, etc. The only stuff I farm out is too big for a weekend, or too messy for my condo. Although I did have the motor out of my mercedes over the weekend, and took it to work on Monday. I wish I still had this, it was fun to drive.
