About the Life Expectancy of The Men in Your Family

I have to ask about this. I am 60, soon to be 61.
And in the 60 years that I've been around, the men in my cracker jack secret Hollywood family have been virtually decimated. Or they faked it to drop out and move on, away from the home. Only the females go on and on.

What happened was, this cousin had an accident with a wheel balance and was crippled when the tire blew up while being inflated. My Father died of a sepsis-induced stroke.
My Uncle died of surgically-induced gang green. Several heart attacks on both sides of the house.

A friend of the family, "Buck Henry", "was beheaded when he ran his car off the road". My older Brother "has had a couple of aneurisms and several obstructed bowel emergencies'. He was reported "as being found unconscious and gray" several times by my Sister-in-Law, "with only minutes left to save him".

Now, these jokers are probably inventing this stuff to exit the relationships, as they were always using aliases. "The death rate of my family" also increases every time I plan to seek representation through a lawyer.
But they are connected to the industrial complex, and their treatment of my needs has been nothing but deadly neglect. If I get sick, they'll use it for leverage. As they have power over the people in our societies (that they don't fucking deserve for what they're doing with it; misrepresentation), uh, how is your life story? Are the men in your family dropping like flies?
Are they still alive and well?

My dad is still here, and stills works his routes 6 days a week at age 77. I believe my Grandfather was at least 75 when he passed on. My wife's dad was in his 60's when he went from lung cancer. I'm going to be 49 in June, but I honestly didn't see myself even being here this long. For whatever reason I saw myself "going early". Which is really kind of ironic because every time I get my physical- the numbers are right in line. I'm told I don't look my age, and most of the time I have a tolerance of things that rivals the Terminator. If I want to piss off my wife, I'll get a physical. The numbers will be on the mark, and she'll tell the doctor "he eats crap", wtf?!

Guess that means I better finish my cab huh?

my only living grandparent passed last week at age 100. two of the three others made it in to their 90's. i basically eat like a nutritionist to combat a disease i'm battling, but i have no worries about living in to old age. civilisation will almost certainly collapse well before such a theoretical date, and i won't quibble too much because after decades of living in pain, i'm pretty sure i'll be more than ready to bid hasta la vista to this clusterfluff modern world.

btw, i remember buck henry from his SNL appearances. according to WP he seems to be alive and well, so what are the quotes for, sleepy?

Ya pricked up my ears with the Buck Henry moniker. That sounds like a grisly way to go. Now I have never met a blood relative of mine. What family I do know is faring about average. It does seem way too many mens folks around here are dying from cardiac, cerebral, pulmonary, nephritic, pancreatic and/or spin the wheel of cancers. And the just plain stupid. And the over doses. They are not making it out of their fifties. I'm fifty eight this year and abusing what good genes I have been given for the rest of this existence. I had wondered about Buck Henry the writer. Figured he might have been gone too. He is still with us if not it...

Yeah, uh. Well, uh. "Buck" may have been Buck actually. He went by the name "Homer" and once made an unexpected remark about meeting the family of the producers of "The Wild, Wild West" t.v. series and "how rude they were". But he was always a strange and wacky guy, and never claimed to be in the biz himself. This was after the debut of "Get Smart" and some school kid who loved Mad Magazine at the time suggested a spy spoof.

I'm not gonna talk about that...but when I suggested a movie version to somebody, my Uncle Dudley's studio had it made. I had no contact, as usual...

The thing of it is, these folks wield so much power and their private stories and the fate of others around them and me are so lousy, that I had to ask.
Just to sort out their bullshit. Prior the The Internet, they pretty much represented the realities of life and the world to me, including mucho b.s. about everything, though I was also an avid library member, for the truths that may be found there.

And Broken Homes

Another curious thing is, virtually Every Neighbor and playmate around me in California was/is either a divorced or widowed fatherless broken home or unwed mother, an alcoholic/drug-related father with issues, adopted kid(s) under oppressive disciplines, disturbed neurotic or psychotic kids (with or without good parents by attitude and behavior), adulterers cheating on their mates, or single Gay men or their buddies who were or are decent folks who keep to themselves, and a couple of lesbian roomies, also no problem. In Pennsylvania most homes were solid family homes with none of the above variables, but with sharp differences in faith and religion. And when faith or lifestyle became an issue, they became very private and distant.

I think the only homes in California that were solid was one with children who were too young for my age group, and a couple of elderly Jewish couples who were very nice folks. Are broken homes typical in your area? Not that it matters, but the overwhelming number of broken homes around me is either spectacular, else the actors are doing method, by living as others.
From time to time, the screaming from a couple of the neighbors is outrageously loud, like a Bergman movie.

I'll take that back. In the Pennsylvania of the 1950's and 60's the womenfolk were very tightly associated with their church and civic activities due to having little to do given the isolation in rural country areas, or the grim and pathetic attitudes of their husbands, else due to the b.s. of the actors again making stuff up.
I can't say much about that for sure. I was not privy to those realities.

But a few of them were reported to have then suffered breakdowns and health issues, and apparently, they later died in nursing homes.

a lot of celebs. died in 2014 and now starting 2015 jan. 2nd more are dying. i just found out that donna douglas just died. she was my boyhood sweetheart when she was dressed up pretty. beverly hillbillies was one of the best funny clean humor shows of that era. i have their 1st season on dvd and laugh every time i play them. thank you donna for making me laugh then and now. RIP

That's a shame.
My favorite of hers was the Twilight Zone episode.
I thank "Buck" for using my reflections on plastic surgery (at the time due to my cleft palate surgeries) , and hillbillies in Beverly Hills, and wish I'd been paid for the stories.

The folks arranged a "Yes In" ( done through the school, incognito; a play on the "Love-Ins" of the era) at The Hollywood Bowl in '69. This was a semi-celebrity pep talk and mini-concert about staying away from drugs and troubles.
Tommy Roe was the music act, and Buddy Ebsen gave us a talk. I think it was more of a wink. There were only about 25 of us there. We sat back and listened while smoking cigarettes. We were not a group of Continuation drop-outs. We were the nice kids. :)
