A couple of questions from a new user with windows xp.
I have downloaded all of the files from IRPinball's "essential files" list, save for VPDisco. During installation, it asks me to inset disc one. At that point I have to cancel, as I don't know what it's asking. Is this something I really need to install?
Next. I have been able to run VP roms, no problem, but I am having a heck of a time understanding how to run VPM tables/ROMS. I have found, located and installed a few, they begin starting, the mame screen displays but then I always get a ROM error message (intitialization terminated/bad-missing rom, etc.) or a script window opens. The table then opens, but no functions work expect inserting coins and nudging the table.
I have spent my whole day off trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong and scouring this board for clues, now I am forced to ask for help. Thanks in advance for your kind consideration.
