Resetting of a machine is often a 5 volt problem. Recapping of the power supply often helps a reset problem. Reseating of cpu roms will often loose their stored info and go back to factory settings. Batteries and holder should be checked if haven’t been done yet.

i have anew power supply board got it last year ,and what do you mean 5 volt problem

A 5 volt problem is when the power supply doesn’t put out the correct voltage. About 4.9 to 5.25 is a good range. I checked the online site flipperwinkel, they suggest you test or change the flipper diodes. If the diodes are bad or not soldered properly the surge will be felt in the cpu board, causing resets. They say that other coil diodes being bad could cause problems also. Check out the site for more info.

V.an egy BK2K-m és az lenne a kérdésem ,hogy a híd miért nem megy le mindig teljesen? Multiball után vagy 3 golyó után általában de van ,hogy 1 golyónál is félúton vagy lejebb áll meg.

i guess that is to be expected on a 35yr old PB machine.
capacitors, diodes, transistors and other components are failing.
the problem i think you will have is finding a decent technician that knows how to diagnose and fix the problems
on that 35yr old machine without calling them back over and over again.
i tried looking around for a machine...
they all needed work and trying to find a technician was very difficult.
another idea to consider is when a machine sits a long time or ages the components deteriorate, solder joints, connections and components crumble etc.....
they sat a long time in storage that made it worse.

i have an old washing machine that i have had for a long time started having problems.
the drain cycle stopped working.
i rolled it over on its side...the components under the tub and brass male-to female push-on connectors
from the wire harness are crumbling.... they crumbled and fell to pieces in my hand when i removed them from the male-female connection.....
same thing might be happening to your PB machine.... components inside are crumbling from age.

I have a BK2K and my question is why doesn't the bridge always go down completely? Usually after a multiball or after 3 balls, but sometimes it stops halfway or lower after 1 ball.
Two things, there is a micro switch that tells the machine if the target bank is down, I'd check that
I would also pull apart the motor/gearbox, note which order the gears go, clean it all, regrease and reassemble

yeah, that too...
hard to make a good diagnosis without seeing it.
it's 35yrs old....electronic and mechanical components are failing.
every old PB i looked at had problems.

Yes, but you start where the issue might be, rather than talking about washing machines to a person who does not speak English

what??....
no difference
i was using a washing machine in the sense of a simile or metaphore to explain their likeness.
they are both machines with wires, mechanical and electronic components, connections, solonoids, and some similar electronics.
especially when it comes to the wire harnesses and wired/soldered connections to the components.
all old electronics get old and rot.
drop targets wear out...no amount of grease is going to fix that.....it's done
same with cars.....i have had plenty of old cars...they all get rot in the wiring.
so he doesn't speak english....so what...he understands
i was using a simile or metaphor to compare the possible problems.
every old PB when i was looking around had problems.

where do drop targets wear out in a pinball machine

Do you even have a clue what you are talking about?

Black Knight 2000, on the upper playfield has a bank of targets that move down, so you can then shoot the ball up a ramp and into the ball-lock. These are not drop targets.
These targets are operated by a motor, the gearbox is filled with grease, after almost 40 years, this grease has turned to glue

There are drop targets on the lower playfield, these cannot be half-way up/down, they either reset or they don't.
If there was a problem here, it would be a 5 minute fix

sorry my bad, been awhile since i played BK 2000....nobody got hurt....

@Yellow
you can remove the target bank with 3 screws and it then unplugs, you can then see the micro-switches

@Yellow , sorry I was mistaken, you will not be able to disassemble the motor/gearbox as it is a sealed unit

the older machines are aging out.
they are turning into money pits.
i kind of dumped the idea of getting a decent working machine.
at my local arcade way back the machines maybe went maybe 3-5 yrs with a visit from a tech near the end of their life.
sometimes they fixed it or just replaced it.
i dunno if the makers intended for these old machines to go 20yrs or more.
if you can't get parts for those older machines it over.
so why bother with it.
take that sealed gear box for example.
can you get a new gearbox or maybe find a way to open it and get a fix and how much is a new G/box if it is available?
if not what are you gonna do???

Can it be opened and serviced? Yes, it is only crimped closed
But I have no idea on Yellows skills. I am not going to suggest an action which will make his game even worse. And with him coming from Eastern Europe, I do not know his options of finding another motor-gearbox

it's already broken.
look 4 another gear box or open it up and clean out the old sludge.
use white lithium...the same stuff i use on my screw drive garage door.

Which one of us has a Black Knight 2000 sitting on their workbench, and which one of us has never taken the glass off a pinball machine?

Maybe RFK Jr is hiring?
