Williams EM Help Black Knight (Williams, 1980) BK80: Yes... another weak flippers post

Black Knight (1980)

The right-side upper and lower playfield flippers on the BK80 are tired together, though controlled by separate switches. These paired flippers are weak compared to the left side. The flippers are noticeably slower than their companions. They don't return smack the ball with the same force, and the flippers bounce with each ball strike. This ailment began after I rebuilt all the flippers with new hardware.

I've checked the cursory stuff recommended within the eleventy-bazillion posts on this topic. Voltage at both (new) coils is correct. Cabinet switch contacts are clean.

I'm stumped.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Recommendations?

I'd be checking the End-of-stroke switch on the flipper
It should be normally closed when the flipper is not engaged, opening only when the flipper is activated

With any fault, the first place I look is "Am I the idiot?", have I 'fixed' something only to make it worse

My last problem was with a Black Knight 2000
The game would boot, pushing the start button would start a game, but when it came to ejecting the ball, the game would freeze.
I spent 2 weeks swapping over boards, inserting new diodes, reading everything, and asking for help online. Nothing would work.

What I discovered was, if the game does not know if the moving targets on the upper playfield are in the up/down position, to prevent damage it will freeze the game. As I had disconnected the motor to work on it, that was my issue. Even the experts on Sys 11 games had not known of this
