Black knight
Hello,
Brand new to this forum. Thanks in advance
I have a Black Knight pinball machine. I replaced the lower right flipper assembly last night and did not notate exactly how to wire it back up. (My bad I should of taken a picture. Now the upper right hand flipper and both the left hand flippers functions but not the new one. I have tried various wiring combinations but i am at a loss. I have power going to all 3 lugs. The hard part is there are two wires coming from the wiring harness and they are both the same color (blue) All the other flipper assembly's seem to have a striped wire feeding the power. I have voltage going to all 3 lugs.
Any suggestions on how to wire it or at least test for the write wiring combination? If someone has a Black Knight and could send a photo on how the bottom right assembly is wired that would be great.
Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks

I would use a volt meter on the wires to the working flipper taking note on voltage spikes to each wire while pressing and releasing the flipper button. Then do the same for the wires feeding the new assembly. Press your flipper button and take notice to the voltage spikes on the wires in question. Then attach to the new solenoid terminals the same way as the other one. If that doesn't work, try another solenoid that you know works properly to rule out a bad solenoid. I have not ran into this problem but this is how I would go about testing it. I hope this helps. Plus, make sure your two, coin box safety switches are in the pulled out position while the door is open. If not, when the coin box door is open, the switches are not depressed and it shuts off power to the play field to avoid shocking you lol. Those two switches have caused me a headache for a day until I learned to do this.

you can also test that nonworking solenoid somewhere else to make sure you didn't burn it out
but I'd run a test on those blue wires just in case as it sounds like someone else jury-rigged it and maybe it's not wired correctly

I have a black knight as well. I can post a picture for you but it will be tomorrow night before I can get to it.

that would be great. I plan on doing some testing this weekend. I need to buy some fuses before I can move forward. Thanks everyone for their help!

Sorry, I got busy over the weekend. Attached is the picture I promised. Labled as follows.

1. Dark Blue from wiring harness + jumper to EOS switch

2. Jumper from EOS switch

3. Light Blue from harness.

Hope this helps.

hey just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the input. I got it working over the weekend. Turns out I had the wiring backwards

Solution
I hope you guys don't mind me digging up a year-old post, but I have a very specific question on this topic.

The lower-right flipper on my Black Knight has always been kinda weak. I tried adjusting the cut-off switch, rebuilding the flipper and even replacing the coil, but it's the same. When I was replacing the coil, I noticed there was only one wire going to the left plug on the coil (marked #3 on the above picture). The other three flippers have two, and look just like the picture. Where does that light blue wire come from on said picture? There don't seem to be any free wires in my game. Could that be causing the weakness? I bought the table in '99...obviously it came like this. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

I'm not great with electronics, and I don't have a voltmeter (although I'll get one if it'll help). But I just soldered in a new coil and didn't mess anything up or burn my fingers, so I think I can handle a little rewiring!

Thanks, guys...
