Black square box in the middle of playfield?

Can anyone please help me?I have Star_Wars_JP_1.1 table.

It's working other than there is a black square box in the middle of playfield?

Covering the center part of the playfield!

Could someone please tell me how to fix?

Also Star Trek The Next Generation 2.0

Are you using Visual Pinball version 8.1, 9, 9.1 or 9.2?
I'm not sure what the problem is just yet, but if you are using version 9.1 or 9.2, have you tried clicking Options in the editor and in the Options menu that appears on the right side enabling or disabling Table > Colors and Formatting > Hardware Graphic Rendering?

The black square box isn't the score box (the DMD), is it?

I'm using Visual Pinball version 8.1,and no it's not the score box (the DMD).

I just played with the options, in the editor mode.
I clicked the backdrop
button and I moved the box off screen by left clicking and dragging the box completely off the screen!!:D
Then I just save the settings and close or play the table..:D
So now the box is gone and the playfield is now visible..
The table's are nice and clear and wide! And more fun to play!
I still don't know what that black box was programmed for, in the backdrop?

Sounds like it may have been a reel that your video card was having a hard time rendering. Depending on the table it could have been the animation to make a light flash or a toy animate or something like that, and you've probably removed that functionality by moving it off the table. In other words, you've likely found a work-around for that table, but not really a solution.

You could try updating your video drivers to see if that helps. You could also try disabling Direct Draw hardware acceleration per the instructions on Scapino's support page (despite the claims that it's not needed with 8.1, it still helps some people).

I disabled the Direct Draw hardware acceleration!:idea:

That did the trick! Thank you sooooo much (m4paws)!

I now see all the cool animations that make the tables awesome!
