Gottlieb Bone Busters Inc. (Gottlieb, 1989) display ?

I was wondering if you can burn the carbon off the display of a 20 digit display from bone busters. I know you can do it on older ones to make the display bright. If so how ? is it the two outer pins with like a 9 volt

i have not heard of any carbon burn off of any gottlieb displays other than system 1 player displays. have you tried posting your question on the pinside website and the dear lloyd advice on that site also? or maybee you can email the pinball ninja at the pinrepair site.
