Williams Disco Fever (Williams, 1978) Any place to get replacement ICs for Williams System 3?

First off, I'd like to say thanks for your guys' replies in helping me with my disco fever fuse issue--got that straightened out.

My problem now is that when I power on the game all the coils activate and sit there in the activated position. So I pressed in the red self-diagnostic button (this system 3 Disco Fever has a System 6 CPU board in it) and the bottom red LED comes on and stays on. According to the manual, that is a failure of the self test of the contents of IC17, IC20, IC 21 & IC22. So I checked the board and, sure enough, ONLY IC17 is on the board!

So, I guess my next question is, are those chips standard to all Williams games of those eras (I notice that written on my IC17 it says Disco Fever so I'm curious if that's the only chip that is specifically "disco fever" and the other chips are all standardized?) or are the specialized to disco fever and, more importantly, is there any place you can get these chips anymore? Or am I just going to have to try and find a totally new CPU board? (I don't seem to be turning anything up on Google searches).

In the manual under the chips it says:
IC20: ROM 5A-9007
IC21: PROM #1
IC22: PROM #2

Going to be rather difficult to come by. Just some background. Williams system 3-7 boards can be a nightmare especially with the way the driver board and mpu board are connected together. You fix one problem and may need to chase down three others. I would recommend replacing the boards with a rottendog combo board. I ran one in a Firepower I owned and it worked great. The one board takes the place of both. Modern parts that are common and easy to find.

If you are sure the empty sockets are supposed to have ICs in them (since some games have empty sockets), then a replacement board is the way to go. That they are all locking on, though, sounds like a short somewhere, most likely in the driver board or on a specific coil. I'd check all of the coils and test the resistors on the coils to be sure they aren't bad. I had one bad coil in a game I restored, and it was doing the same thing. First they were all locked on, then after replacing the boards they were firing over and over like gunfire. Swapping the bad coils and driver board resolved. Also, the driver board and cpu on these connect with that really big clunky connector which can also give intermittent issues. Try messing with that, taking them apart and cleaning the contacts, and see if that helps any.
