Bally Solved Eight Ball Deluxe Limited Edition (Bally, 1982) Dumb Questions

Trying to learn to read the schematics for my EBD -LE and have some dumb questions:

- When looking at the Wiring Diagram - Playfield schematic, it mentions a "thumper bumper", "saucer", and an "outhole". Can somebody tell me what each of these are and do they have the same meanings?

the round bumpers are called thumper bumpers. williams calls them jet bumpers. gottlieb calls them pop bumpers. and data east and others(i think) call them turbo bumpers. saucers are the kick out holes in the playfield. out hole is the name used for the hole that the ball drains into.

On the schematics, it mentions a right and left "sling shot" - I take it these are the bumpers right above the flippers. I however do not see anything for the 2 bumpers at the top on the side of the "thumper bumpers" - what are these called and labeled on the schematic?

I am not at location where machine is at (lake house), but I am referring to the top of the machine. When the ball comes into play, it enters either the A or B lane and then hits the 3 thumper bumpers. On the sides of the 2 upper thumper bumpers are smaller slingshots (1 on the side where the 2x,3x,4x,5x targets are and the other on the side where the 8 ball lane is).

Hopefully this makes sense - upper portion of your picture.

I have modified your picture and tried to attach it here - I have circled the top 2 sides where these slingshots are located.

Because those rubbers have no solenoid kickers I guess they are just called Re-bounds. Those that have scoring, the switches are playfield scoring switches referred to by location or in your machine just - 30 Point rebound.
