Bally Elvira and the Party Monsters (Bally, 1989) some features not working

After 3 years of non-use, when I fired up my Elvira & the Party Monsters machine, about half of the features work and half don't. I'd pulled the batteries 3 years ago and put in new ones when resuming play recently, so they shouldn't be the problem. Those features that don't work properly are the 3 thumpers (points are given when hit but no thumper action), side kickers (just above flippers) don't kick but points are given when hit, Boogie Men don't boogie, Jam targets don't reset and pop back up, Party Punch pop up doesn't send ball onto ramp and back into play. Everything else on the machine works as it's supposed to. Does anyone have any thoughts on what's wrong?

Maybe you will get lucky and find a bad fuse for that part of solenoids. Pull em all or check for voltage drop across their contacts. Check for bad connections and re-seat connectors at boards in back box{The Inter-Connect!!!}. Try running solenoid test sequence. Report back here @PN and let us know what you find out...

Elvira solenoid test recommendation

Is the solenoid test detailed in the owners manual. If so, I'll find it and will try this weekend when I get to my machine.

You can download your manual and other good stuff. And do actually download it as it will work better than viewing it on line. Solenoid test is on page 37...

F7 and F8 on the aux driver board are the input protecting fuses for the A/C relays. check those first. check the other fuses on that board next. check for cracked solder connections on the back of the board and resolder connections if needed.
