I received an approval to share this email from a Pinball Nirvana and VP new user, It reminded me of my extreme excitement when I first discovered VP!

Subject: i cant believe im playing BINGO again !!
Dear sir or madam,

i cant begin to thank you enough for putting a BINGO game in my hands!i can hardly believe that 30+ years later im "nudging" a malibu table !!!

history- approx 2 years ago i keyed in pinball on ePRay, almost as a joke.waded thru pages of moderns, and finally stumbled on a bingo.that peaked my interest, and i fired up yahoo looking for bally bingos.i was pleasantly suprised to find alot of info.
started reading.

there was one site, OLD BINGER, that had some very good info.
i went back to OB several days later, and then realized:this guy only lived about 30 miles from my front door!i called him up, and he couldnt have been nicer.explained that he rebuilt bingos, and had approx 18 in current stock!i went to his house later that week.behind his garage door was 20 bingos, all fired up and ready to play.i was in heaven.

the bad news, was of course, the price. not cheap at all. ( ~$2.5k )but i clearly understood why, after seeing the work involved in the refurb!

anyway... i didnt buy, and went home.

2 years later (this weekend is freezing rain here in atlanta)i "bingoed" again on epray. then moved on google, and from there to YOU.

i thought, its too good to be true! i expected: you dont have this, gonna need that, invalid code execution, etc.you know- the kinda BS that every computer/SW bugs usually encountered.

but guess what: 45 mins later: i am FREAKING playing MALIBU BEACH on my couch !!!

i will forward further info in later email.i am too excited to stop playing MB to even write this message!

PS: The formatting of the original message is not quite right, My apologies..

I have to agree with you Jon, that's exactly the way I felt about 3 1/2 years ago when I stumbled across VP and my favorite table, Struggle Buggies. It should makes all the work you and I have done with this site worthwhile, dosen't it? That's also why I'm glad that there are VP sites featuring every era of pinball, because otherwise these older games might be overlooked, or the EMs of originals. I sure hope that fellow takes a break from his bingos and becomes a part of our forums. Thanks for posting his e-mail Jon.

Here here John :) I remember feeling that way, as I am sure pretty much all of us did at that "discovery"point, no matter what era or style we go for. It is great that this guy is made so happy by the efforts of the VP community, and particularly those involved with this particular specialisation. Definitely gives us all reason to go on VPing when we see such joy in those who play with us.

But the sad thing is that there are a lot of VP members who won't even visit here or at VP Originals, because they only focus on one era. They're only short changing themselves because there are so many great games from every era, if only they would do some exploring.
