Ugh. So, at the time, I bought this reconditioned Lenovo PC about 7yrs ago as a temporary replacement, but somehow just never wound up replacing the sucker, nor upgrading the memory (like a dumbass), even as it clunkily showed its age and slowness across the years. Indeed, in terms of FP & VP specifically, most modern tables had to be carefully, and *painstakingly* coaxed in to run sans choppiness, and of course for others? That was simply impossible.
*sigh*
Yet, there were other, more immediate problems, such as Firefox getting easily overwhelmed by too many open tabs, and daily Windows system tasks tending to randomly bring everything to a dang'ol CRAWL, at times. Still, not being much of a "power-user" anymore, nor a significant gamer outside simple stuff like Flash & Webgames, it generally just wasn't a big-enough issue in my life, especially considering far more pressing, debilitating stuff, such as ME.
Ach, but finally!
(Haha, FINALLY...)
...with WinX support about to be dropped, coming mid-October, I somehow AROSE off mine arse the other day, frog-marched myself to the local MicroCenter super-store, and bought myself a new system, slim-style. Win11 installed, and ready for Linux, baby!
Point is-- I'm still a blooming idiot when it comes to most computer-wise things, but wha-hey! This little sucker ain't half-bad! Bonus pts for actually being able to play some of the cool pinball tables you others seem to routinely enjoy. ^^
