Hoopla also has Battle For the Planet of the Apes. Somebody at another site is claiming the current reboot out there tonight is nearly a shot-by-shot remake of "Battle".

And I didn't realize that the first Apes series involved the human vs. apes battle for dominance. They really did bend the original concept completely out of shape. And by that time, I was on to Clockwork Orange, Straw Dogs, and Chinatown. The reviews for the "Apes" sequels were at the time not kind. Everybody loved the first one though.

Y'know. They remind me of "The Credibility Gap from the 1960's and beyond.
This group was the launching pad for several well-known people, past and present. Now take a look at what they did to the classic Abbott and Costello skit, "Who's On First", which I never did like all that much. The names were phony then:

But then again he might not. There is a difference between novels and franchises.
