Flipper not working on vista

Hi, I recently bought a new laptop that runs on vista and loaded up my tables and roms from my old xp. I ran it under administrator and it loads fine and plays but one flipper will not work. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks Bill

Try this:

Open the system control panel, click Keyboard, then go to the hardware tab and open properties. Now go to the Driver tab and click on driver details. Is the keyboard currently driven by a 'MCIR 109' driver? If so, change the driver to 'HID-Compliant Device' and reboot the PC.

This fixes the problem in all apps where Right Shift would not work.

Actually the credit for finding the solution goes to maf this time.

He was the one who dug up this thread, where somebody analyzed the problem until he knew a cure.

I merely memorized the solution (as i do with all of them) as this issue will most certainly keep popping up every now and then,...

Had the same problem when I got my laptop.
Install as admin.
Compatibility with XP.
Open the VP editor-Preferences-Keys & reset your keys for flipper, tilt, plunger, etc...
That should fix it... It did here...

I would like to thank everyone for their help. I started with looking at the keyboard drivers but did not have the mcir 109 driver or anything that I could find that said hid-compliant driver. I ended up changing to xp like FD said to try and changing the keys in vp editor and all is well . Thanks again, Bill
