Gottlieb Flying Carpet (Gottlieb, 1972) is this normal ?

Hi All , I have a Gott Flying Carpet and when the one's counter is on 9 and when a 50 point target or a 10 point counter moves the 0-9 unit moves with it , normally this does not happen when the ones counter is in any other position , is this normal ?

I'm not sure how much help this will be...But... There are "carry" contacts at the #nine position on my 1972 Gottlieb Grand Slam machine. They send a pulse to the next higher score reel to add 1 (I.E. carry the 1). There are also contacts on the 'Tens' reel that go to the match unit. It is even possible that a normally closed contact on your score motor is not opening up soon enough and allowing pulses to go to all the wrong places.

Hey coil , thanx for the reply , I was looking at the schematic , and in the circuit , the 0-9 unit is directly tied in on the line , I did see where it goes through the score motor in an inadvertant way , I will check it out , just got it and it had many issues , I had to make adjustments in the relay bank ( lights not lighting ) the person that had it before me bypassed the pop bumper lights with different sockets , so your suggestion may not be so far out there.thanx again , I will check it out............
