I think .org is a perfectly commendable site. Since I joined .com right about the time AJ stopped caring, it's pretty amazing to see what Noah has done with the site, the real proactive stuff with the different interviews and chats. At the same time, I know just enough about VP to get it to run on my computer, so I was never big into the threads that covered how the hot dog was made. I had the most fun in the Outlane, (and, even to some extent, the Argument Clinic), which was a lot more freewheeling and fun than the .org Big Bang Bar counterpart. So, basically, I'm bitching about a VP site seems focused on VP, of all things! Also, Noah seems to have a pretty dictatorial hold on what can or cannot be posted. I would say that .com, under the wise aegis of Nic and the now-you-see-him-now-you-don't TMFP was what made it a lot more of a fun, organic place to visit.
While PN has that same anything-goes freewheeling feel to it, there just doesn't seem to be the same amount of traffic, and a lot of the people who were so much fun to post back and forth with... like The Shadow and the very-sorely missed Nic... don't stop by as often. At least there's Bob and Shocky.
PS Bob: how do you like the new Tiger Woods 2011 game? Every time I hit a ball onto a green with a club larger than a six iron, it skates across the fucker like a puck on an ice rink!

I agree Noah was also attacked as well. I do feel bad for him but honestly saying that an interview with Randy is exclusively for VPM is just silly. I can understand that taking something without asking also can be silly. Look what happened to IR Pinball and the tables I did. Leo was overboard with the sillyness he pulled; I literally told him ONE table of mine was a modded version which I wanted to have removed. So, like Leo can be; he goes nuts and deletes everything of mine there.

Funny thing is, I STILL to this day laugh at what he did. I thought Bob or Shockman were overboard but Leo was over the edge.

I hold nothing against Leo now for what he did. I gather he was really sick of all the BS that was going on back then. So be it. Nothing against you Leo.

Still I feel like a few folks are missing from all this. One is Kinsey. OMG. I gather she is long gone. PacDude is another. PacDude is the clone of Shockman bar none. Shocky, don't get me wrong - sometimes unloading excess baggage is the only way to cope. I know!

Still, I'll stick to PN - Pinball Nirvana seems to have that "old flair" that reminds me of when VP was still in it's infancy (VP6) and I realize those days are gone but I for one find comfort in it. GOD do I miss it. I don't miss a lot of the BS from back then though.

Anyway, back to my WIP.

I have one last comment....As for a link to PN via VPF.....I admire that you and JPH just don't care. It takes some "kahunas" for just letting bygones be bygones. I really feel what they did was a slap in the face but I for one find it totally commendable. My respect for tiltjlp and JPH for ignoring the ignorance!

SHOCKMAN - I'd appreciate it if you'd not tell Noah everything I post here. I don't know if it was you or Bob but that is totally uncool! Getting a PM from him via VPF is really uncool. I had to delete it; if you can vent so can I. Please don't do that again.

Ruby, I play mostly the online tourneys, but I still suck at Tiger woods, if I play beginner, I can shoot 18 under par, if I play tour pro, I shoot 18 over par.

Can we be constructive idiots?

The numbers are way down at both forums, and I think in the past that PN was the adjunct to the main vpforums.com. That some of us found PN as a result of the official forum.
It was like, if you don't care for this forum, then try that one. This attitude helped to keep more people interested in VP.

I also note that political threads risk being locked or deleted. I've been guilty of expressing my political viewpoints in the past and I can easily refrain from posting my views, but then what is the nature of a subforum for other unrelated topics?
How are the kids? Did you have a nice birthday? Do You Have Family Stuck in the Katrina Mud Waiting for a Taxi? I dunno.

LOL! Yeah, quite the playing curve, huh? I'm the same way... stomp the field as a giant on beginner, play on pro level and I suck as much as I would playing real golf... and what fun is that?
