Future Pinball controls on my PC Arcade not working

Hello to everyone. I am using Future Pinball on my Hyperspin Arcade Machine (Windows 7). I am unable to play many of the tables.
They all load up fine. It's the controls that do not work. Left flipper, right flipper, adding credits - etc... I've gone into the Future Pinball app itself to reconfigure my arcade machine controls but I get the same result. Nothing seems to work. Everything used to work fine until now.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I don't think many of us on PN use Hyperspin anymore. You might try the VPForums site.

At least half the tables work... I don't think its a Hyperspin issue.

It would help if you posted the version numbers. Mainly interested if it is a new version or and old one.

Was Creature from the Black Lagoon version 2.3?

Do you have BAM installed?

This has me a bit stumped. If the versions that don't work are new, I would say you need a new version of BAM.

Try playing the tables that don't work without any front end program.

I did have BAM installed originally but then removed it to see if that would help solve my problem. It didn't.
I also played a few games without the front-end program. Same result. Did not work.

Tried reconfiguring the controls directly in the Future Pinball app. No change.

I don't know what the cause is. I looked up the age of some of the tables. Both lists have old and newer tables. Some newer tables require BAM to play them but Transformers is pretty old and does not work. You might still check to see that you have BAM version v.1.5-345 installed. You can play the table, open the BAM menu by pressing the Q key and look and the bottom right screen to see the version.

All that I can suggest is you look through my guide and make sure you followed all the steps. Critical steps in the basic guide are flagged with "Hot!" before the step number that are frequent sources of problems for others:

try running your tables as an administrator see if that fixes the controls or it should fix them

Do you by any chance, like me, have way to many input hardware connected?
Try to pull the cord on some.
I personally use usbdview to disable/enable them at will via script.

In my case its the all the analogue devices I have in the control panel. Especially, older software like FP that picks them up first for some reason means you should have only what you use connected when launching FP. It's probably a conflict with hardcoded keys on you problematic tables so start only with your keyboard connected and call FP. If everything works start hyperspin, test, then add other devices one by one.

Of course you may want to try to redownload and install the tables again, just in case you have some corruption going on (use windows defrag much? :) )

PS: you should not need to run FP as admin (or almost any app) EVER. IF you have to do it, do it once, exit and everything should be set, but that's on FP installation only. And you have working tables so..., it's not that.

I was able to make one of them work by your method. After I played it, I decided to use Save as to save it with a different file name and it and it started playing without playing it as administrator.

Great i will have to remember the file name change method you used next time, i was able to get most of the tables to work with my method just a few i could not but thought i could help anyway .

Probably the ones that can only be played with admin were saved with wrong privileges in which case, re-download and install again should also do the trick.
