Here is cool development .
With Quest 3 Passthrough / Mixed reality and with Virtual Desktops Green Screen Passthrough mode
We can create Mixed Reality mode for Future Pinball

They are the Guardian lines in VR so you don’t walk into things .
I had to turn them on for the recording to work . In mixed reality when I am playing I actually turn them off

It is really cool ! The recordings do look better than the actual experience as the pass through is somewhat grainy but still pretty good.

Lol... I find it's the reverse to Pico.

Recording look worth than experience... Passthrough tracking appear more shaking on recording than in experience... In fact we just pay more attention to it in recording than in real as we are focus on ball.

On Pico it's really grainy, but it still pretty good too, but I think it's better on Q3.

If you enable Developer options in your Quest 3, you can turn off the Boundry completely so it never shows up in MR.

Yes I do that when I play but it doesn't seem to record the passthrough when you do that. You just get the future pinball with a black background on the recording....

Hey @Gimli signed up just to ask about this. Is it pretty straightforward to set up? I've only managed to set up VPX with the baller installer, and I'm not sure if that program allows a mixed reality mode. This is super interesting to me as I'm only just now getting into pinball, but I would love to be able to see my surroundings as I partake. Thank you for the videos. Very interesting!

Yes Terrys guides are excellent .
Once you have Future Pinball working let me know and I can provide all you need for mixed reality.
You will need to do a simple edit to each table that takes 1 minute .
You will need to have vr head set , BAM Vr and Virtual Desktop

Ok awesome. Is it possible to do with VPX tables? Anywho, it appears I have Future Pinball installed. I also have a Quest 3, Steam, and Virtual Desktop installed. I haven't yet installed a table, but I'm looking into that now.

Start small before you leap.

Baller Installer may or may not include my latest files and guides. It's not a program, its an installer only that installs and sets up multiple apps.

Installing my Essentials AIO package will for sure get you everything you need for FP and FP in VR as well. You need to be fully updated and use the "required" FP and BAM settings, This package will give you that (follow the instructions). My included written guides can help you ge started... but there is much to learn and understand.

FP needs a very fast PC to run VR smoothly and correctly. Faster than what is needed for VPX. Tackle that first. If your PC is not fast enough, then the table will play badly, the ball movement will stutter or look strange, etc.
