Gottlieb Genie (Gottlieb, 1979) issues.

Never fails, I buy a machine which works great when I buy but as soon as I get home, NADA.... I have a Gotlieb Genie, that once you push the start button the ball ejects and then it goes to game over. Any suggestions?????

Do I count five flippers? I love the drop target arrangement. Is there a switch at the plunger that is ending the game? Could be a switch matrix issue, maybe a bad diode. There is a guy, pinballdaveH, that posts here @ P N that really knows pinball electronics. Hope he sees your question and has some ideas...C_S

this problem is usually caused by a dirty or mis-adjusted coin door slam switch or ball roll switch. these switches have gold contacts , so use a business card to clean them. adjust switch blade tension if necessary. slam switches can be dis-abled by adding a jumper wire on original cpu across C2(2nd cap to the right of the reset button, and just under settings switch 15).
