Gfx2DmdF tips and tricks?

Anyone have some good insights into how to use gfx2dmdf? Since the older gopinball site is down, I can't find any write up of how to use the sliders on the left hand side of the app or what they mean in regards to mapping. I feel like it is a weird "trial and error". My hope is that someone understands what its purpose is, and then it would be more understandable for me to get the correct parameters.

I found the program on my PC but it has no instructions with it. There is a brief description here with the download but I suppose that is where you got it:
