sounds like you're being facetious, sleepy; if not check out the chinese zodiac. like the western zodiac, there's a cycle of twelve animals, but also five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water) and two states (yin and yang). so it's a 12 x 5 x 2 = 120yr cycle on the whole. longer than ours; a bit short of the mayans.
