Have a BAD WiFi connection? READ ME!

Folks, I know I make VP tables for all - but I have just purchased an item from Ebay that will literally blow you away! Follow the link and buy this - I have gone from a 1% connection to 85% in less that 1 minute! NO JOKE.

For $17.79 (which includes shipping from Ames Iowa) you get one hell of an amazing antenna that gains 5,600 meters of range. This is NO JOKE and it's cheap as hell!

The item is totally new, no box but you get a MINI CD ROM (software drivers), the antenna, the WiFi mini LAN box, the manual and the USB cable.

I WAS going to buy a router to work with my Netgear 11G wireless antenna until I saw this. I made THE RIGHT CHOICE in NOT BUYING THE ROUTER!!! The router is over $50! Too expensive!

If you have VERY SLOW WiFi connections and use them for free (public connection) this is for you. I have jumped in communications connections from 1% to 85% in less than 1 minute - install the drivers (20 seconds) and then insert the USB cable connected to the mini box and you're finished.

Yes, it also has protected connections as well - the software is not pussy software either - there is so much this thing can run and what it can do. But don't take my word for it; ASK ME about what this antenna can do. The Ebay page does NOT tell you a hell of a lot, but I can post info about it below.

For more info, contact me as I have the manual that I can pull any info out of if you ask. Just post below. The software is simply mind boggling; it has over 7 encrypted states it can run. It can do a hell of a lot more too. You can watch everything this LAN box does all in the software WHILE YOU'RE RUNNING. There's a TON of tabs that do numerous things as well.

What was I using before without the antenna?

I was using a Netgear 11G USB connected antenna which got up to 200m range. It went in and out. Constantly. What am I using now? YOU WON'T BELIEVE ME - I have an antenna in my HP laptop that gets 50m range - THAT SUCKS. With the newly purchased antenna I now have 5,600 meters range and DO NOT have the Netgear USB 11G connected! NO! It's using the lousy HP antenna inside of the laptop! FIGURE THAT ONE OUT!!!???? AMAZING.

ALSO: Before I was waiting for over a minute for a simple webpage to load. How fast is my connection now? I wait no longer than 5 SECONDS. 5 SECONDS!!!! The entire page is loaded!!!!

Trust me, this thing is a blast - all the USB WiFi adapters you see at Best Buy, Staples and etc are just flat out CRAP. This is the most amazing piece of hardware I have EVER bought. Want to know why? Here:

I have downloaded numerous items online - some things being at 500MB large. With my basic connection at 200m it took 6 hours. With a 300MB program it took 2 hours.

With this NEW ANTENNA it took 25 minutes. 25 MINUTES for a 300MB download! Not a joke. I am blown away and hope you'll really enjoy this! I'm so glad I put this new thread up and hope others will try it. I've NEVER had so much fun online before until I bought this! Trust me, you're in for a wicked treat!!!!

Thank you for telling them about me and hope they'll add feedback to my name. It's appreciated. Please, once you get the item and try it post below about it. Really, I am so excited I bought this thing. Yes, 5,600 meters seems highly illogical but if I go from 1% to 85% connected rate something amazing is really happening with this. What do you think?

PS: Just downloaded a 25mb file and it took 1 minute!!!!

I laugh at all the people who use a router and place it in a metal bowl to get good reception. You won't have to do that with this WiFi LAN box. I'm not! :)

What does my system run like now: 5 GREEN LINES (FULL), 90% connection rate, I can see over 20 people are also online and have LESS connection than I do, I can choose from 7 security settings, create my own network and etc. with this box. You can watch your system ON THE FLY while it's connected with the software included. It's a SINMAX IEEE802.11 b/g Wireless USB Adapter. But it's much more. Just wait till you get it!!! 34 page mini manual is included as well.

What DID my system run like before the LAN WiFi box: 1 LINE CONNECTION (1%), 2% connection rate, I could only see 2 people via WiFi connected, I had NO security settings, COULD NOT create my own network. That totally sucked!

Lastly: I AM NOT USING ANY OTHER WIFI CONNECTED DEVICES - JUST THE BOX!!!!! WOW!
Wait till you see the CD! It's not much bigger than a ritz cracker!

PPS: I may buy ANOTHER ONE just for a backup! :)

I've seen loads of reports that the paper/foil reflector does work really well. Anyone can make that, just print out the template, cut the parts out, put some foil on the reflector and glue it all together.

I haven't seen as many good reports for DIY antennas, guess not as many people try that option.

Of course for both options you need a router or nic card that has an external antenna. Putting a better antenna on your router can help even if you have a crappy USB dongle on your computer, since it helps the router pick up weaker signals as well as transmit farther.

I hate to drop the bomb on this, but you know if this catches on, the open spots are likely going to use ping to determine distance from the propriety offering the service and if your ping is too slow by distance, for not being within 100 meters of the wifi transceiver, it'll lock out.

And the dog of it is, the folks who are manufacturing this DX access point device are probably the same folks who will manufacture the ping distance lockout add-on.
Industrialists with interest in Time Warner, ATT and Comcast. But above all, money any way they can.

Ping isn't going to work, in 0.1 milliseconds a radio wave travels about 30 kilometers. To measure distances in the hundreds of meters using radio or light you need to measure the ping time in nanoseconds. And that's assuming instantaneous response (reflection off a surface), the wifi device has to receive the ping request, process it, and then respond, all that will take longer than the light travel time, so the round trip ping time would be useless for distance measurement at that short a distance.

If you have 2 or 3 towers miles apart you can triangulate using relative signal strength coupled with ping time, that's how they can get the general location of your cell phone using the cell towers.

More likely open hot spots will just start using daily password changes, and post it on the wall or something so you have to go in and get the password before using their access point.

There are areas providing free WIFI for low income, for students, and for library users, but *I think* the low income users need a password for access. Maybe that system i.d.s the computer's serial number?
