Thanks in advance for reading this post.

I recently picked-up a Stern High Roller Casino machine. It works (more or less), and I'm in the process of "repairing" what needs to be repaired, however, I ran into an issue that I just can't figure out...

There's a roulette that catches the ball after being launched. Sometimes the the ball is detected, but most times it's not. I've cleaned-up everything that I could, even changed the opto board on the roulette; the problem still remains. Unfortunately that also effects the ball lock plunger after the ball is dumped from roulette into the playfield; it won't let immediately drop the plunger. The end result is that the machine will cycle through a ball search witch will inevitably let the ball enter into the playfield.

I know there are several issues going on all at the same time, but I'm trying to get started on the roulette issue first.

ANY advice is most welcomed.

Thanks again!

Is there anyone out there who has any kind of idea what and/or where I should be looking?

Is the roulette thing a lower play field object? Try cleaning all the contacts or leaf switches if that is what you see once you unscrew the whole assembly (take a cell phone pic of it assembled first if you must so you know how it all goes back!).
They may not be making good contact with each other or the ball too as the ball sinks into the hole for the roulette number to activate! Watch the ball as it hits those numbers for contact after a good clean up and adjusting. What it is doing is a cycle of all solenoids and kickers when it does not get a signal after a while so yeah that is what I think you are getting.
