Williams SS High Speed (Williams, 1986) machine problem

Good day. I have a Williams High Speed (1986) that I have had for many years. It has always worked well.

I recently went to use the machine, and when I turned the power switch on, most of the lights came on as usual, but the machine does not activate when I press the game button. Nothing happens.

I am not sure if I have a blown fuse somewhere, or a solenoid that is not working, or some other problem.

Thoughts?

PS.........I am not an electrician, and there are more dang wires running amuck in this machine. Yikes.

OK, do you know how to open the backbox?
Open the backbox, remove the glass, open the door with the light bulbs, and then take a picture of this board

OK, good news, should be fixable at a reasonable cost.
What your picture shows is that the batteries have not leaked and spilled alkali over the board. If so it would cost $$$$
(change the batteries anyway, should be done once a year)

We will start with the simple stuff. You will have to buy a multimeter and test the fuses in the power supply board
The power supply board is the one in the backbox in the top right corner with that huge heat-sink on it.
This is an easy job.
Turn off you game, remove the fuse.
Use the mulitmeter to test the fuse, it is is good, put it back
There are also fuses below that board, you should test them also

Using a multimeter to test continuity is easy, just search on YouTube

PBP.....thanks for the info. I saw the batteries and figured they should be changed. Will do tomorrow.

I have a multimeter so can do that tomorrow as well. I will report.

Fuses all checked and good in vertical box. Batteries changes and contacts cleaned. When turned on, there is not activation noises/actions, just these lights.

When you turn the game on, does a number come up in the little display next to the batteries?
