How can I restart the ball rolling sound when in play

Occasionally I lose the ball rolling sound. I believe it is caused when the ball comes to a stop ie in a gobble hole, and the script's Subroutine 'CheckBallSound()' turns it off. According to the debug 'CheckBallSound()' is the culprit "Stop FP Ball Rolling" ? The ball rolling then doesnt restart :(
