My TWC ISP is offering tickets for a taped segment for the show featuring Sam Smith and Iggy Azalia.

I haven't been keeping up with music. I've heard "Stay With Me" / Sam Smith. Very nice. But a quick check around and Iggy turns me off.

Would you?

He's ripping Tom Petty/I Won't Back Down.
Ack, these kids! Call the cops.

Yes I would! 20 years ago. I don't know who these kids are these days, with their cellular phones and their pants hangin' down. I never heard the Sam Smith song until the lawsuit. Couldn't he have picked a better Tom Petty song to rip off, like American Girl? The only thing I know about Iggy Azalia is that she's "easy on the eyes", as we used to say... in the 1940s.

Not me man. These days, they moon you. They get an MTV Award for doing it. Who cares.

But in 1983 I got preview tickets for the film, "Nightmares". The film was dull, but while standing in line outside the theater on Hollywood Blvd. on a dark and rainy night, a group of exuberant college girls, and a couple of guys, decided to moon everybody for minutes at a time. The two guys started doing it after the girls started doing it.

But in 1983, nobody got an MTV Award for doing so. And the guys were dorks.
