I had heard about Joe Cocker, but I didn't know about Jack. One of the greatest rock voices that I have ever heard.
And Rod McKuen. I thought he died 30 years ago. Back when the hazing was strong with a ton of sleep deprivation, I had several dreams (hallucinations) about him and Roy Rodgers having died, but it wasn't so Joe.
Of course it doesn't help to be perpetually hazed out of sleep, at 90 minute timed intervals to coincide with REM states, and have people talking at you about things (or bullshitting you) after you finally do fall asleep.
