Joker Poker for VP9

I've recently dowloaded "Joker Poker" v.1.0 for VP9, by TAB, Destruk, Inkochnito.
When I try to play it, the screen reamins fixed, without lights movement, and of course it doesn't work.
In others tables I solved this problem by pressing F3 again, but with this table it has no effect.
Any help?

Do you have the ROM for Joker Poker in the vpinmame (or Pinball) \ Roms folder?
The attachment is the ROM for the game. Put it in the folder and keep it ZIPPED.
EDIT: I removed the ROM because it was incomplete. Please download the ROM
in the post below.

Try the table again. Press the top row 5 key on the keyboard for credits. Don't use the NUMPAD.
Press the 1 key for game.

In the main EDITOR screen when you first load the table and the layout appears in the editing panel, if it is not already open, then click the Options button on the left menu to open the Options panel on the right side. Then check under Table > Colors and Formatting. If there is a check in the box for Table Render Caching then remove the check and try the table. Save the changes on exiting VP.

I've tried with your zipped ROM (it has only one file). When I try to play, it's says that there are two missing files, and it give me the two options of: "Dont care.." and "OK". If I press "don't care.." appears a message "Machine terminated before initialized".

Then I tried with my former ROM (with tree files) zipped. In this case, it recognize the tree files, but we are at the begginig: I get a fixed screen of the table and no key ( 5 nor 1) works.
Respect the box for Table Render Caching it is unchecked.

As I said, I had a similar problem with other tables many times: no lights movement a rare number of credits, in this case 72, but when you pressed F3 again it works fine and the number of credits gets usually to 0.

All roms should remain zipped. And you want the roms that don't complain about missing files. Joker Poker doesn't have any attract mode - that is normal, so I don't think any lights would be flashing or changing when it starts. You'll probably need to click on the table display before it will accept coins for you. If you press ALT-TAB do you get any error messages or changes?

What?...I always thought that I must unzip the ROMS.
Well, in any case, all my ROMs are unzipped and they all work well.

In this case, zipped or unzipped, I get the same result: a fixed screen.
I'm not sure what's the meaning of "atract mode", but I thought all the PM tables have the flashing lights. In fact, I waited for this signal as the table is working well.

In other PM tables, you get two windows (I'm sure this is not the correct word, but
I think you could understand) one window for the table and other for the credits and scores.
If you click on the credits windows you can't play the table.
But this table have only one window, the credits and scores are embedded in the same screen

If I press ALT-TAB I go to others windows that have nothing to do with the table.

By the way, as I said, the numbers keys don't work, but F1, F2, F3, F6 themselves work.

First thing, PinMame Recognize the romset from the zipped filename. They never work unzipped.
Second: When you start the table without romset (or incorrect romset),
Pinmame show you the romset you need.
Sometimes the easiest way, if you DL all romset(for Joker Poker), and put them to your Roms folder.

I try the table and it works fine. Only one romset available.
You can add credit with 3 or 4. (not 5 and 6 )

Well, I don't know what to say...
All my ROM's are unzipped and works fine. From now I'll keep them zipped.

About "only one romset available", I only can say that the ROM that gave us SLEEPY
has only one file (417 cpu) and the one I had, has another two more files.

In any case, I have an old version of VP Joker Poker, without PINMAME.

The problem with unzipping roms, is if they are zipped folders pinmame won't find the internal roms where it expects to find them. It won't usually search all the subndirectories for the files it needs. Also, if roms have identical filenames with different crc's and you unzip them all to the same place you will overwrite them from other games. Leaving them zipped might add a tenth of a second to the startup sequence, but it keeps it easier to use and more reliable.

Gottlieb System 1 games don't have an 'attact blinking lights' mode. Chances are it's working and you're just not hitting the correct coin key - try 3 or 4.

Once again,.. followings the instructions of Destruck, I installed the zipped ROM, and played the table, and when I pressed the key "1",... the game worked fine... (my God).
Then I deleted the zipped ROM and installed the unzipped ROM, and.... it worked fine again...
Well.., I must confess that I am a bit ashamed and I really don´t know how started this whole mess..
Perhaps it was because I was expecting the "flashing lights", but I would swear I tried all the numbers keys the first time, and no-one had any effect.

Problems with Jokerz

Script error for Jokerz. Line 381 variable is undefined - ramp. Anyone know anything about this?
